What is CCO?
An initiative by CCIC to bless children living in poverty with Christmas gifts.
During one of CCIC’s short term mission to Cebu, Philippines in 2025, Elder Jason was inspired to mobilize the body of Christ here in San Jose to take the love of Jesus to the children there. With much prayer and desire to participate in what God is doing around the world, Christmas Children Outreach was formed to put into action what God laid on our hearts.
The mission of Christmas Children Outreach is to participate in the Great Commission of Jesus by showing tangible love to children living in poverty and sharing the hope of the Gospel with them and their families. Together with our overseas mission partners, we want to reach out in love, strengthen outreach relationships and participate in building the kingdom of God.
This Christmas, we are filling 800 backpacks with school supplies and other items and sending them to the Philippines, with our love, to meet the needs of the school-going children in 8 different locations around Cebu.
Who are we sending backpacks to?
Since 2019, we have been sending short term mission teams to support the church planting work of Faith Family Church in Cebu, Philippines. Our backpacks will be distributed via 8 village churches in and around the Cebu area as part of their gospel outreach to the families in each location this Christmas.
Distribution will be managed by the local Faith Family Church to the works in: Pajo, Smokey, Consolacion, Olango Tiburon, Olango Tamisil, Daan Bantayan, Danao and Rhema.

Getting involved
Make a donation
The cost of one full backpack, including shipping, is $30. We are raising $24,000 to fund 800 backpacks.
Pack backpacks
We are filling all 800 backpacks with school supplies, hygiene items and basic necessities in one big packing event in church on Saturday, Aug 29.
Write cards
We are drawing/painting/coloring 800 cards, each with a handwritten personal Christmas greeting that will be in each backpack as a representation of our love to each child. Join our card-making sessions or take a 15-pack of cards home.
